Snow White and the Huntsman (starring Kirsten Stewart, Charlize Theron, and Chris Hemsworth) is a modern take on a classic tale compiled by the Brothers’ Grimm. The movie itself tries to puts its own twist to the story but still manages to keep its essence all throughout the film.
As the story is known to many, the story line is somehow predictable. Nevertheless, the details that the director has put in it is amazing and has brought the fairy tale characters to life.
The actors also did well, some even exceeded my expectations as a viewer. Kirsten Stewart looks stunning and suits the character really well. The Snow White in the movie is much more relate-able, much more human if compared to the animated film. Her kindness and naivety is the real reason why she was the fairest of them all. Meanwhile, Charlize Theron’s acting was one of the things that brought everything together. Her take on the Evil Stepmother’s character was flawless. Her interpretation on the character gave it the depth that it needs.
This movie is nice if you want to spend the day out relaxing or just spending your time with your family. However, you might want to skip this if you’re a hardcore movie lover.
